Past Perfect Simple / Απλός Υπερσυντέλικος.

Ο χρόνος αυτός σχηματίζεται με το had και την Παθητική Μετοχή
 / Past Participle του κύριου ρήματος.

I had eaten / Είχα φάει
You had eaten
He had eaten
She had eaten

Χρησιμοποιούμε τον Past Perfect Simple:
1) για μια πράξη που έγινε πριν από μια άλλη στο παρελθόν.
π.χ. Mary had finished her homework before I called her.
2) για μια πράξη που έγινε πριν από μια συγκεκριμένη στιγμή στο παρελθόν.
π.χ. She had already done her homework by seven o’ clock.

More examples:
1) When Dad came home I had just finished my homework.
2) As soon as he had left I opened the window to get rid of the smoke.
3) My friends had already left the restaurant when I got there.
4) She had finished her work by nine o’ clock.
5) She hadn’t finished the ironing by eight o’ clock.
6) The children had gone to bed by nine o’ clock.
